Willis Elkins collects pens from Jamaica Bay, cleans them, and fits them with new ink cartridges. It’s a small action, but a powerful one, I believe. It challenges the notion of disposability. Nothing disappears, even if you throw it away. It reminds me of Kristyna & Marek Milde’s idea of an “urban scavenger”. Follow his project here.
